Now that [livejournal.com profile] hd_erised reveals are up, it seems I ought to claim my story. Thanks to those who left such lovely comments. If you haven't had a chance to read it but would like to, the link is below. The story was written for [livejournal.com profile] isinuyasha, and I was so pleased to write for her. Her artwork is amazing! I tried to include several of her requests and prompts, such as the Crup and a mix of fluff and humor.

In any case, here are the details.

Title: Fata Morgana
Author: icmezzo
Recipient: isinuyasha
Rating: R
Word Count: ~16.5k
Warnings: None
Content/Enticements: Dragons, mirages, and Arthurian legends. Also a recalcitrant crup and a house-elf on a tricycle. (I honestly don’t know how these things happen.)
Summary: “It’s only a mirage,” they tell Draco (and Pepper). “You must be imagining,” they dismiss him in turn. But Draco Malfoy is certain something is out there, and, come hell or Harry Potter, he’ll find out. He will.
Author's Notes: To [livejournal.com profile] omi_ohmy and [livejournal.com profile] arcadianmaggie, my amazing prereader/Brit-picker and beta: Thank you never seems like enough. You’re so unbelievably kind to share your time and considerable talents with me again and again. I’ll love you both for a thousand years.

In addition, I would like to thank [livejournal.com profile] primea for the absolutely gorgeous artwork that she drew for me. I highly encourage you to take a look: You are my sun, my moon, and all of my stars, (Not only is it completely stunning, but if you happened to read my prior story, Wish Upon a Star, you'll know why I was nearly in tears of joy when I recieved it.) Thank you, Primea!

Well. WELL.

Let me just say that I'm currently sandwiched between [livejournal.com profile] firethesound and [livejournal.com profile] zeitgeistic, which makes this pretty much the best day ever. To be slightly less misleading, we're sitting around my dining room table with laptops and coffee/tea and watermelon, but I stand by my earlier claim of Best. Morning. Ever.

We're off to another day of Con.txt soon. I'll post more about that after it's all over. I did want to share something completely amazing in the meantime though...FiretheSound brought me some awesome! Do you recognize it? She stitched a lovely towel for me based off of [livejournal.com profile] dustmouth's drawing for "Love Lies Bleating"!

I just about turned inside out when I opened it! So that pretty much means I'm sitting beside the Best Thing Ever on the Best Morning Ever.

We have our Harry Potter con session this afternoon. If that also goes well, I might never recover!

The lovely [livejournal.com profile] dustmouth let us make some suggestions for some sketches that we'd love to see from her, and I'm not ashamed to say I took full advantage of this. Her prompt fill is below and it is absolutely hilarious. To see the others, including a fantastic illustration of [livejournal.com profile] birdsofshore's "The Joys of Nature," take a look at her entire post. I believe she's leaving it unlocked for about a week or so.

Prompt: Draco attempting to determine whether his new trousers make his butt look good.
